Public remove six victims at site

KENINGAU: Six people, including two children, were injured when a Toyota Wish and an Isuzu collided at Mile 9, Kg Bukit Merah in Sook, Sunday.

Four victims – a man and a woman aged 33 and 34 including the two boys aged between three and five – were in the Toyota while other two victims consisting of a man and a woman aged between 46 and 33 were in the Isuzu Dmax.

The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 11.42am and 10 Firefighters led by Operations Officer, Julinah Abat went to the scene with machinery.

However, all the victims were removed by the public from both vehicles before the arrival of the Fire Brigade.

Three injured victims were sent to Keningau Hospital by the public while the other three victims were given initial treatment by the EMRS team and sent to the hospital using EMRS machinery.
