The Jeju Air Flight from Bangkok that crashed and exploded at the Muon International Airport last week left only 2 survivors – both of whom are crew members. All 181 passengers did not make it.
A pet dog, known as Pudding, recently went viral after it patiently waited for its owners – a family of 9 to return home. Pudding’s owner was a 79-year-old man, who was also the oldest victim in the air crash.
Its owners never returned home, so Pudding could only wander around the village, gazing at vehicles entering the area, hoping to see familiar faces. At the moment, Pudding is being taken care of by an animal rights group in South Korea – CARE @care_korea_official.
Pudding attended the memorial service
Yesterday evening (January 5), the animal rights group brought Pudding to the memorial service for all the victims of the air crash.
According to CARE’s representative, Kim, Pudding remained silent during the memorial service and did not bark at all. On why he decided to bring Pudding to the service, Kim said,
“I think Pudding should say goodbye to its owners for one last time before finding a new home.”
Pudding was also said to be lowering its head at times during the service, and it seemed a little overwhelmed when people laid flowers around.
Many people have been expressing interest in caring for Pudding, and Kim said the adoption process is expected to start today (January 6).
Previously, CARE rescued Pudding from the village after it wandered around for days waiting for its owners. CARE also brought pudding to the vet after finding chicken bones and onions from its vomit, which could be harmful.
