
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Islamic Affairs Department (Jheains) will assess the needs for religious teachers, including KAFA and Takmir instructors, to improve Islamic education in Pulau Gaya.
Datuk Dr Ariffin Arif, Exco for Islamic Affairs and Minister of Local Government and Housing, said discussions with Jheains will determine the number and type of teachers required to ensure well-structured religious programs.
He highlighted that the Putatan MP has provided a new building for KAFA classes, marking a positive development for education in the area.
The announcement was made during the Sahur and Subuh program with Asnaf on Pulau Gaya, attended by key state and local officials.
