MANILA, Philippines — Supermarket chain Puregold Price Club Inc. will roll out a series of anniversary promotions from Sept. 25 to Dec. 5, offering customers chances to win cash, groceries, home appliances and rice as it celebrates its 28th year.

The celebration will feature nationwide raffles, community events and a grocery-themed fun run, with promotions running across hundreds of Puregold stores.

The company’s main anniversary raffle, “Nasa Resibo Ang Panalo,” will offer cash prizes of up to P280,000, along with free groceries and home appliances. Now on its second year, the raffle will cover 328 participating stores, with up to 50 winners drawn every two weeks.

To qualify, Puregold Perks and Aling Puring members must make a minimum single-receipt purchase of P2,000, including at least P300 worth of participating items. Participating brands will be identified on store shelves to guide shoppers in purchasing qualifying products.

Puregold will also hold the “Panalong Pabigas Raffle Promo” in 212 stores, giving customers opportunities to win sacks of rice and cash prizes. Shoppers must make a minimum single-receipt purchase of P1,000, including at least P200 worth of participating items, to qualify.

The promo will award 25-kilogram sacks of rice to five winners per store every week. A grand draw will also be held, with 30 winners receiving P28,000 each.

Puregold will bring the anniversary celebration to neighborhoods near its stores through “Barangay Panalo, Sari-Saring Papremyo.”

The community events will feature on-ground games, live entertainment, product sampling and prizes from partner brands. The celebration will culminate in the Luneta edition of Puregold’s Hakot Relay Run on Dec. 5 at Burnham Green in Rizal Park, Manila. The fun run will include a grocery grab challenge, with participants competing for grocery prizes and loot bags.

Puregold reported a 3.7-percent year-on-year increase in sales in the first half of the year, which it attributed to higher shopper spending.

“As we celebrate our 28th anniversary, we remain focused on strengthening our connection with Filipino families. From community celebrations and raffle draws to a fun run, these initiatives reflect our gratitude to the customers who continue to make Puregold their trusted supermarket,” Puregold President Vincent Co said.
