- Nicholas Brandram, a 44-year-old banker, was found dead at his property in Chiswick, west London, with police treating the death as unexpected but not suspicious.
- His family confirmed he took his own life due to the severe pressure of a Metropolitan Police investigation linking him to the 2017 Putney pusher incident.
- The 2017 case involved a jogger shoving a woman into the path of an oncoming bus on Putney Bridge, from which she fortunately suffered only minor injuries.
- The family insisted there was no forensic or credible evidence placing Mr Brandram at the scene, stating that the evidence in fact proved he was not involved.
- Police were strongly criticised by the family for arresting Mr Brandram and failing to end the investigation despite repeated warnings about the impact on his mental health.
