On 22 March 2026, ATEEZ took to Unifi Arena in Kuala Lumpur for their inaugural solo concert in Malaysia. The venue was filled with an energetic crowd including the enthusiastic and supportive ATINY, of course. ATEEZ’s first-ever showcase here in the country was in 2025 at the K-pop Masterz event alongside fellow K-Pop team CRAVITY.

The South Korean group performed some of their biggest hits throughout the nearly three-hour show — including ‘In Your Fantasy’, ‘Ice On My Teeth’, ‘Lemon Drop’, ‘WORK’ and ‘BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS)’. Additionally, each member of ATEEZ also took to the stage for solo performances — showcasing their respective talent and charm.

For the uninitiated, ATEEZ is a KQ Entertainment-formed group which made their debut with ‘Treasure EP.1: All to Zero’ on 21 October 2018. This year marks the band’s 8th anniversary. With eight members, they are HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG and JONGHO.

Q&A:

Eight years on, what have been the biggest surprises and lessons you have learned as a group?

HONGJOONG: Eight years sounds like a really long time, but at the same time, it feels like it went by incredibly fast. It’s hard to notice the small changes day by day, but when we look back at photos and videos from the past, especially from before our debut, it really hits us how long we’ve been walking this path together. What still surprises me is the trust that allows us to stay together as a team without change, and through that process, I’ve learned so much from the members about how important consistency truly is.

Since your debut, ATEEZ has achieved so much including performing at Coachella and winning numerous awards. What’s next on the list of goals?

SEONGHWA: We always dream of performing in countries we’ve never visited, standing on bigger stages, and meeting more diverse audiences. However, more than achieving specific numbers or milestones, we believe our next goal is to find more ways to connect with the fans who support us and give back to their love as always. And walking this path together for a very long time.

How would you personally describe ATEEZ’s musical style and what sets it apart in the industry?

JONGHO: It’s difficult to define ATEEZ’s musical style in just one word, but at its core, we’re constantly trying to create music that’s rich, while incorporating elements that keep things exciting and fresh. With each release, we explore different genres and styles, but we always make a strong effort to maintain ATEEZ’s signature dramatic flair. I think that’s what really sets ATEEZ apart.

Tell us a little about your latest release, ‘GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4’. How does this EP continue to shine a light on ATEEZ’s versatility as a group?

SAN: This is one of the albums I was personally most excited about while preparing. The powerful and high-energy title track ‘Adrenaline’, really showcases what ATEEZ does best. Altogether, it feels like a complete package. In short, it’s an album that fully captures ATEEZ’s unique charm.

Who are some of your musical influences? Is there someone you would love to collaborate with one day?

WOOYOUNG: I’ve mentioned this a few times before but, I truly admire Taeyang and listen to his music often. It would be a great honor if I could collaborate with him someday.

What are you most excited about being here in Malaysia?

YUNHO: I’m most excited about getting to meet our fans in Malaysia in person. I hope everyone who comes to see us can leave with great memories. Although we’ll only be staying in Malaysia for a short time, if time allows, I’d love to experience the local food and culture while we’re there.

When it comes to ‘2026 WORLD TOUR [IN YOUR FANTASY]’, what can ATINY in Malaysia expect?

MINGI: Maybe my solo stage? (haha) I’m joking, of course. Even though it’s the same tour, we try to adjust certain elements and tweak the overall flow to better match each country’s culture and the audience’s preferences. Not only ATEEZ, but many of our staff are working hard to make that happen.

‘Nasi Lemak’ is known as Malaysia’s national dish and representative of the nation’s culinary identity. What is one song you would say personifies ATEEZ so far?

YEOSANG: I would choose ‘Turbulence’. ATEEZ’s discography has a wide range of songs, from powerful tracks to ballads, but I think this song in particular carries a deep emotional impact. When we sing it during concerts, it feels incredibly overwhelming in the best way, and as I look at the fans and the members while performing, I naturally find myself thinking, “This song really is one of ATEEZ’s signature songs.”

What’s next for ATEEZ? What can fans expect especially in the near future?

HONGJOONGWe’ve mentioned this in other interviews as well, but this year we’re planning to show even more diverse sides of ourselves, so we hope you’ll look forward to it. We can’t share any major spoilers just yet, but we can promise that we’re preparing something fans can truly be excited about. Thank you always for your support and we love you, ATINY!
