The Qatar-based bid for Manchester United has defended itself from public criticism.
The Qatari royal family were at the forefront of the bidding process to buy United.
However, their front man Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani lost out to Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who now owns 25 percent of the Red Devils.
Per The Mail, sources close to the fruitless bid state they offered 4.5 billion for all of United.
They also state that proof of funding was provided at every stage of the negotiations.
However, the Glazers eventually went with the Ratcliffe/INEOS bid, given it allows them to remain as majority shareholders.
