Kota Kinabalu: A Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 (QEH1) staff due for retirement next year was found dead on the grass with part of his upper body on the concrete edge, Friday.

A female colleague who was about to start work in the morning was shocked to find her workmate identified as Latif lying at the back of the building just outside the exit door.

QEH1 Director Dr William Gotulis, when contacted, advised the public not to speculate but let the police and forensic specialists conduct their investigation.

There was speculation that the deceased could have suffered a heart attack. He was always seen working by himself, speaking less. On the fateful night, he was working the night shift, moving some items from one point to the other.
