TAMBUNAN: A community QR Code complaint system helped police arrest a suspected drug offender during a raid in Kampung Mangkatai recently.

The operation, conducted by the Keningau District Police Headquarters Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division, was based on intelligence received through the digital complaint platform.

A local man was detained to assist in further investigations.

A physical inspection allegedly uncovered three plastic packets containing crystalline substances believed to be syabu, with a total estimated weight of 0.80g.

The case is being investigated under Sections 12(3) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possession and self-administration.

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) urged the public to continue providing information on criminal activities, emphasizing that close cooperation between the community and authorities is crucial to combating drug abuse and ensuring safety in Keningau and surrounding areas.
