Quectel Unveiled A Comprehensive Smart Cockpit Solution 

Quectel’s 2026 Beijing showcase has many European rivals watching their software closely

At the recent Auto China 2026 in Beijing, technology company Quectel unveiled a comprehensive smart cockpit solutions featuring AI-integrated systems, high-performance modules (like the AS830M with 48 TOPS compute), and 5G/millimeter-wave radar connectivity. Their solutions, including the 48 TOPS AS830M module focuses on SiP (System-in-Package) to optimize hardware.

Quectel’s 2026 Beijing showcased an AI-Integrated Smart Cockpit which is a cockpit powered by their proprietary Artificial Intelligence Operating System, designed for full-stack AI integration.

They also had High-Compute Modules (AS830M) which is a AS830M 5G smart cockpit module, which delivers 48 TOPS of AI computing power based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.SiP. 

The system uses an advanced SiP and BGA packaging to reduce hardware complexity, improve reliability, and eliminate the need for external T-Box units.

Their solutions integrate 5G connectivity with advanced millimeter-wave radar for enhanced in-cabin and surrounding environmental awareness.Focus on AI and “Third Space”: 

The technology also supports the trend of vehicles as a “third living space,” focusing on scenario-based applications and natural interaction.

Quectel’s presence at the 2026 Beijing show emphasises the rapid shift toward software-defined vehicles and AI-driven cockpit experiences.
