SANDAKAN: A kapok tree fell across Airport Road, Mile 7 here on Monday evening, temporarily blocking the main access route to Sandakan Airport.
The Civil Defence Force (APM) arrived at the scene at 7.08pm and immediately began clearing operations.
Measuring about 20 feet tall and the girth of a full arm’s span, the tree was cut and fully cleared by 7.16pm using two chainsaws.
