
KUALA LUMPUR – Around 80 people linked to the controversial Islamist group Hizbut Tahrir have turned up some 100m from the Swedish embassy here to voice their objections against last week’s Quran-burning incident in Stockholm, Sweden.
This morning’s demonstration is to also hand over a memorandum to the embassy.
Last week, Swedish-Danish extremist politician and Stram Kurs (Hard Line) party leader Rasmus Paludan, courted controversy after he burnt a copy of the holy book in Stockholm, Sweden, triggering a global outcry. – The Vibes, January 27, 2023
