Manchester United and Newcastle United have held talks over Sean Longstaff.
Sky Sports says no offical bid has been lodged.
Toon are not interested in selling Longstaff and see him as a big part of their future plans.
United have already signed two young British players in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
They have also begun negotiations with Southampton over a deal for Mario Lemina.
