Former Bayern Munich captain Lothar Matthaus has blasted Manuel Neuer after his agent talked up a departure this summer.
Neuer's agent has revealed that the Bayern Munich captain is considering leaving the club this summer over concerns the squad is not strong enough to match his ambition.
Matthus, the legendary former Germany and Bayern captain, said Neuer should have spoken to the club if he was not happy.
"His behaviour is totally unacceptable," Matthus told BILD.
"As the captain of Bayern he should speak to the club if he has a problem with the situation over signings.
"The doors of the management are always open."
