Arsenal face losing Dani Ceballos at the end of the season.
AS says Ceballos, currently on-loan from Real Madrid, is set to be recalled in June.
Creative midfielder Ceballos has one goal in 10 appearances since moving to north London on a temporary deal in the summer.
Real Madrid want to integrate five youngsters who are currently out on loan into their first team next season as they aim to save money on expensive transfers.
Ceballos, Real Sociedad's Martin Odegaard, plus Sergio Reguillon of Sevilla, as well as Takefusa Kubo and Achraf Hakimi, at Real Mallorca and Borussia Dortmund respectively, will all return to the Spanish capital.
The club want to use their young stars so money can instead be directed towards a world-record bid for Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe.
