Everton are battling Fenerbahce for Mainz starlet Erkan Eyibil's signature.
Eyibil, 18, has been labelled the next Mesut Ozil and scored against the the Blues in the 3-1 friendly win last weekend.
He is out of contract in the summer and this has reportedly alerted both clubs, says Fotomac.
Eyibil scored 18 goals in the under-19 Bundesliga last season.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is also aware of Eyibil's emergence at Mainz.
