For everything that matters in tech

AMD and Samsung have teamed up for a multi-year strategic partnership to developed ultra-low power, high-performance mobile graphics engines based on AMD's Radeon graphics technologies.

This, presumably, is to enhance the capabilities for future mobile devices from Samsung as well as open up the possibility for the Korean tech giant to develop mobile gaming-centric devices in the future. However, I doubt that we'll see an AMD-based GPU in the upcoming Galaxy Note 10.

As part of the partnership, Samsung will license AMD graphics intellectual-property and focus on advanced graphics technologies and solutions across mobile applications, including smartphones.
