Nikola Kalinic says he's not joined Roma to sit on the bench.
The striker made the move from Atletico Madrid.
"Roma are a great team, I'm very happy and I hope to do well in this new adventure," said the 30-year-old.
I hope I don't get injured, I want to play more. As for the team, we'll go game by game.
I was worried the deal wouldn't go through, but luckily I'm here now. I'm really happy.
I have Serie A experience, but there are many players here and many forwards like (Edin) Dzeko who always play well. I hope to do well too.
We'll see how we play, if it's with one or two strikers. I talked to Dzeko and he convinced me.
I also played as a left winger for Fiorentina. I can play as a lone striker or in a two.
At Atletico Madrid we played with one striker and it was a good experience to work with Simeone."
