Crystal Palace were all set to sign Genoa striker Christian Kouame in January, it has been revealed.
Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedull reports Kouame was on his way to Palace before suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.
He was due to join for 25m plus bonuses in January.
It's claimed Kouame and Genoa already had an agreement to make the transfer during the winter market.
