TECHNOLOGY skills and training provider Radenta Academy has partnered with cybersecurity company Fortinet to offer its official certification courses in the Philippines, targeting individual IT learners and corporate technology teams.
The partnership will make Fortinet learning pathways available through Radenta Academy, including Fortinet Certified Fundamentals (FCF), Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) and Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) tracks focused on network security and FortiGate administration.
The courses cover areas including network protection, threat intelligence, security operations center (SOC) operations and cloud security.
Radenta Academy said the programs are open to IT graduates, career shifters and systems administrators, as well as enterprise IT and SOC teams. Cohorts will be conducted throughout the year.
Fundamental courses require about 15 to 20 hours, while professional-level programs can be completed through three to five full bootcamp days or over three to six weeks on a part-time basis.
Two delivery formats are available. Hybrid programs combine self-paced laboratory work with live virtual instructor sessions, while dedicated on-premises bootcamps are available for corporate teams.
Graduates can earn Fortinet certifications, including FCF, FCA and FCP. Radenta Academy will provide local instructors, hands-on mentorship and regional operational support as Fortinet's local delivery partner.
Fortinet operates the Fortinet Training Institute, which provides professional certification and self-study programs. Its FortiAcademy program focuses on academic institutions and early-career development.
Dianne Angeline Mabuna, administrator for Radenta Academy, said the partnership aims to address cybersecurity skills requirements in the country.
“We joined forces to directly combat the severe cyber skills gap in the country by combining Fortinet’s industry-leading technology with Radenta's local educational reach,” Mabuna said.
Mabuna also cited digital transformation in sectors including banking, health care, government and telecommunications as a factor contributing to demand for cybersecurity skills.
“A massive digital transformation is happening across Philippine banking, healthcare, government, and telecommunications that has outpaced cybersecurity hiring,” she said.
Radenta Academy said it is also integrating Fortinet's training curriculum with local programs, including the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority's Enterprise-Based Education and Training framework.
