  • Scott Mills will no longer commentate on the Eurovision Song Contest after being sacked by the BBC over his "personal conduct".
  • The BBC confirmed that Mills, who had provided commentary on the semi-finals since 2011, is no longer contracted to work with the broadcaster.
  • The Sun has since reported that current Radio 2 Sara Cox is being lined up to replace Mills on Eurovision, although the BBC has declined to comment.
  • The 53-year-old DJ was abruptly taken off air last week and his sacking was publicly announced on Monday.
  • It has since emerged that Mills was questioned by police in 2018 regarding allegations of serious sexual offences against a teenage boy. The police case against him was subsequently dropped due to a lack of evidence.
