PETALING JAYA: PETALING JAYA: Economy minister Rafizi Ramli is taking legal action against Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal for alleging misuse of ministry funds to pay cybertroopers.
In a posting on X, Rafizi said he has instructed his legal team to begin filing a lawsuit against the Bersatu MP over the claim.
"I have never sued anyone before, but YB Machang’s (Wan Fayhsal) accusation would form a clear-cut case when presented in court," he said.
Yesterday, Wan Fayhsal shared a post by a social media influencer using the handle @RichardPower on X.

Responding to @RichardPower in a separate X posting, Rafizi also said he has instructed his press secretary to file a police report regarding the accusation.
"The economy ministry has never paid anyone to be an influencer," he said, adding that his office has never encountered the proposal which claimed an influencer was paid RM60,000.
When contacted, Wan Fayhsal said he would respond only after receiving a formal letter of demand from Rafizi.
