- Network Rail executive Martin Frobisher said probe “will look at all possible causes and factors”, adding the hot weather had “presented exceptional challenges to the railway”.
- It comes after a Greater Anglia train derailed near Wickford in Essex on Friday.
- The incident was less than 24 hours after another train derailed in East Sussex between Lewes and Haywards Heath.
- Two people were left with serious injuries and a further 18 people were taken to hospital.
