
- A train crash in which a train driver died and 100 people were injured has been described as a “tragic, isolated incident”.
- Nine people are still in critical condition after the crash near Bedford on Friday.
- The incident involved a Luton Airport Express train colliding into the back of an East Midlands Railway train around 5pm.
- The railway line between Bedford and London St Pancras will remain closed until 28 June for a "complex" recovery operation.
- This closure will cause significant disruption, with no Greater Thameslink Railway services north of Luton and no East Midlands services south of Bedford.
