Rail passengers to face two days of disruption due to strike action

  • Rail travellers from London to the West Midlands face two days of disruption this week due to strike action by TSSA union members.
  • Workers, including roster clerks and duty train crew managers, will walk out from midnight on Thursday, 9 July, until noon on Saturday, 11 July.
  • The strike, affecting London Northwestern Railway (LNR) and West Midlands Trains (WMT), is over a dispute regarding rest day working payments.
  • A limited service will operate on certain routes, with earlier final departures and some lines having no service at all.
  • LNR and WMT are offering full refunds for cancelled services or allowing tickets to be used on Thursday, 9 July, or Sunday, 12 July.
