Rainbow snake startles Tuaran resident

TUARAN: A man had a frightening encounter when he discovered a rainbow snake inside his home in Kampung Selupoh this morning.

The resident, Nor Azmer, 34, noticed the snake around 7.30 am while entering the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Read more Concerned for his safety, he contacted the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance. Tuaran District APM Officer Jimmy Alberto Tining said a team was dispatched shortly after receiving the call at 7.38 am.

"Upon arrival, the team found a one-meter-long, 300-gram snake in the kitchen and successfully captured it within five minutes. The operation ended at 8:14 am, and the snake was safely released back into its natural habitat, far from residential areas," he said.
