KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun has been appointed as the new chairman of the Election Commission, effective today.
According to national daily The Star, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali said that the Agong has given his consent to the career civil servant’s appointment.
