RANAU: The district has the potential to be tops in freshwater fish-based products considering the significant number of pond operators who raise various species of freshwater fish around this district.
Chairman of the Sabah Fisheries and Fisheries Development Corporation (Ko-Nelayan), Kong Soon Choi, said that freshwater fish farmers need to carry out farming efforts consistently in order to be able to produce quality fishery products.
“This is important so that such ambition has the capability to further penetrate the marketability of the products on a larger scale compared to how it is in the current and previous times.
