
RANAU: The District Police Headquarters (IPD) here organised a Meet the Customer Day Programme that gives the community an opportunity to get closer to the enforcement agency.
The programme that took place at the Pekan Ranau Cultural Stage on Saturday received encouraging response from local residents to get various views from the police.
Ranau District Police Chief, DSP Simiun Lomudin said that the programme was an effort on his part to further strengthen good relations with the community in combating crime more effectively as well as creating more effective two-way communication.
“In addition to that we can also exchange ideas in solving the problems faced by the community, especially related to law enforcement in their respective areas, so as to make all areas safe for everyone.

In the programme several counters were opened involving the Criminal Investigation Division, Narcotics Crime Investigation Division, Commercial Crime Investigation Division, Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division and Public Order Division.
The Ranau PDRM also held a pamphlet distribution activity on the crime of ‘Scammers’ to give awareness to the community to avoid becoming a victim of the various online fraud.
Also present were Head of the District Management Division, ASP Jailix Amindang, Head of the District Criminal Investigation Division, ASP Nurul Hafidz Derus, Head of the Crime Prevention and Community Security Division, ASP Mohd Affendi Che Yok, as well as Senior Officers and Members of the Ranau PDRM.
