Kota Kinabalu: Worried about the increasing disinterest of students in the subject of Mathematics, Science and Technology (Stem), a maths teacher of St. Benedict Ranau, Hallsen Justin, and his two students created learning aid via online games.

Hallsen, 34, from Kampung Poring, Ranau assisted Arabella Isabell Ramdy, 9, and Fayliedelsie Marcelus, 9, to produce Mathematics Digital Interactive Games (Madiga). Thirty out of 36 Year 3 students reaching at least five stages in the assessment test.

“Madiga is an interactive game using internet technology for the basic mastery of numeracy and is able to increase students’ interest in learning math in a more interesting way.
