Rapid KL has announced that the Ampang and Sri Petaling Line LRT service is currently disrupted due to structural damage which affects the railway tracks. The LRT service is currently facing delays as a kinked track was found near Bandaraya LRT station

According to Rapid KL’s statement, early observation reveals that the structural damage was caused by nearby construction works. Rapid Rail engineers are on site to assess the safety and integrity of the structure while the LRT service between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya station is currently suspended for safety reasons.
At 7:30am this morning, Rapid KL announced that the LRT Ampang service will operate at a delayed frequency of 9 minutes in the central business district (CBD) and 18 minutes outside the city centre.
At 10am, Rapid KL updated that trains from Ampang and Putra Heights will turn back at Hang Tuah station with a frequency of 6 minutes at the CBD area and 12 minutes for non-CBD area. Meanwhile, a shuttle train service between Hang Tuah to Masjid Jamek at Platform two will operate at a frequency of 7 minutes. Trains from Sentul Timur will turn back at Bandaraya station platform 2 with a frequency of 6 minutes. Commuters are urged to reach out to the station officers or auxiliary police if assistance is required.
All LRT trains from Putra Heights will turn back at Plaza Rakyat station, while trains from Sentul Timur will turn back at Bandaraya station. Shuttle buses are provided to ferry commuters between Plaza Rakyat and Masjid Jamek. Here’s the list of buses provided as announced so far:
