SANDAKAN: A 27-year-old man was jailed a total of 40 years and ordered whipped six times of the cane for raping his underaged girlfriend four times until she became pregnant.
Sessions Court Judge Zaini Fishir @ Fisal handed down the sentence to Mohamad Yusri Harris who pleaded guilty to four charges against him.
On the first count, Mohamad was sent to prison for 10 years plus two strokes of the cane for raping the girl while she was 14 at that time at 8pm in June 2023 inside a car parked at a secondary school, here.
On the second count, he was jailed another 10 years plus two strokes of the cane for raping the same victim at 11am in June 2023 in a hotel, here.

Read more On the third count, Mohamad received another ten years plus two strokes of the cane for raping the similar girl at 8pm in July 2023 inside a car parked at a secondary school, here.
On the fourth count, he was jailed another 10 years plus two strokes of the cane for raping the girl at 8am in Aug 2023 inside a car parked by the roadside in Batu 8, here.
Mohamad, convicted under Section 375(g) of the Penal Code, was ordered to serve the jail terms concurrently from the date of his arrest.
The court heard that on Jan this year at 9am the victim went to a clinic here to undergo health examination and the doctor found that she was currently 32 weeks pregnant.
Following the result, a police report was lodged against Mohamad who immediately was arrested.
