TAWAU: A 54-year-old man was sentenced to a further 105 years' imprisonment and 70 strokes of the cane by the Sessions Court here on Tuesday after pleading guilty to seven charges of raping his eldest biological daughter.
The latest sentence brings his total punishment to 270 years' imprisonment and 180 strokes after he was previously jailed for 165 years and whipped 110 times by the Sessions Court in Lahad Datu for raping his two biological daughters.
Judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya ordered each 15-year jail term and 10 strokes of the cane to run consecutively and separately from the Lahad Datu case, and also ordered the accused to undergo counselling while in prison and perform three years of community service after completing his jail term.
The offences were committed in separate incidents at hotels along Jalan Bakau, Jalan Dunlop and Jalan Masjid in here, between December 2025 and March 2026.
The prosecution was conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutors Muhammad Haikal Md Yatin and Wildan Firdaus Ahmad Fazly, while the accused, who was unrepresented, pleaded for a lighter sentence before the court imposed the punishment.
