Manchester United prospective buyer Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly entered the final stages of negotiations.
The CEO of petrochemicals company INEOS is the frontrunner to secure the club from the Glazer family.
While Sheikh Jassim of the Qatari royal family is still involved, Sir Jim is said to have the upper hand.
Per The Times, a final bid has come in from the Qataris, but Raine Group and INEOS are discussing the final points of a deal at present.
Unless the Glazer family have a last minute change of heart, INEOS are likely to own United in the coming months.
Ratcliffe was a United fan in his youth, but also tried to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich last year.
