Manchester United new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to make some big changes.

The INEOS chief is planning to cut up to a quarter of the club's staff in all departments.

Per the Daily Star, Ratcliffe is taking the radical measure as he believes the club is too bloated.

He believes they would work better if operations were streamlined in various departments.

United have nearly 1,200 people working for them in all areas, with most of their top Premier League rivals having less than 1,000 employees.

Ratcliffe is working on improving United's football, commercial, merchandising and match day departments.
