Manchester United are set to appoint a chief business officer as part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's overhaul.

The Red Devils want to ensure they have a top structure in place for years to come.

Ratcliffe will ultimately decide on the future of manager Erik ten Hag, but is focused on other areas for now.

According to The Athletic, United want to add a business expert to their board in the coming weeks.

The idea is to have that person in charge of financials and then reporting to CEO Omar Berrada.

United are also expected to hire Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox in sporting director-style roles.
