Raul Garcia has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao.
The veteran has penned a new 12 month deal.
The 36-year-old midfielder will spend his ninth season at San Mams, where he arrived in 2015/16 from Atletico Madrid.
Ral Garca, whose previous contract ends today, is within reach of the record for matches played in LaLiga that Joaqun and Andoni Zubizarreta currently hold, with 622 each.
The Navarrese has made 589 appearances and if he plays in 34 matches in the next championship he will become the new record holder.
