KUALA LUMPUR – Traffic has been building up this morning from the Gombak toll plaza heading to the East Coast as people head home for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The Highway Authority said traffic is heavy heading east from the toll plaza to Bukit Tinggi.
“The number of vehicles has been increasing since yesterday but traffic is backed up at Genting Sempah, Pahang.
“In addition, the traffic flow along Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 1 (LPT1) and LPT 2 is smooth in both directions,” a spokesman told Bernama today.
Meanwhile, highway concessionaire PLUS Malaysia Bhd said traffic is smooth at the Sg Besi and Jalan Duta toll plazas heading north and south of the peninsula.
However, traffic is slow heading north from Slim River to Sungkai while there is an accident at KM301.8 between Bangi and Kajang.
The public is advised to check on traffic flow at www.twitter.com/plustrafik or www.twitter.com/llminfotrafik before embarking on their journey home. – The Vibes, April 20, 2023
