Razer Tartarus V2 Pro: Analog optical gaming keypad with TMR joystick, priced at RM929

Razer has announced the Tartarus V2 Pro, a new gaming keypad aimed at players who want more programmable controls without using a full-sized keyboard. It features 31 programmable controls, Razer’s Analog Optical Switch Gen-2, an anti-drift TMR joystick and an adjustable wrist rest.

The main feel of the Tartarus V2 Pro will come from Razer’s Analog Optical Switch Gen-2 switches, which offer an adjustable actuation range from 0.1mm to 4.0mm. Rapid Trigger sensitivity can also be adjusted down to 0.1mm, allowing faster repeated inputs. Razer says each switch is individually lubricated and placed over a dense foam layer. The switches are rated for up to 100 million keystrokes.

For movement and additional inputs, the keypad comes with a full-sized TMR thumbstick designed to resist stick drift. It also has three dedicated buttons around the thumbstick, while the 31 programmable controls can be mapped for different games, abilities and macros. The wrist rest is adjustable too, as users can let it slide in and out and rotate from side to side, allowing users to adjust its position and angle to suit their hand placement.

The Tartarus V2 Pro supports Razer’s 8000Hz HyperPolling, which Razer says provides a polling rate eight times higher than the industry standard. It also supports Razer’s Advanced Input Control features, including Snap Tap, Snap Flex and Dynamic Keystroke.

Users can configure up to 24 keymaps across three onboard profiles through the Razer Synapse app. Actuation and Rapid Trigger settings can be adjusted directly on the device using its onboard LED array, without requiring software. Also, the keypad uses textured doubleshot PBT keycaps for added durability.

The Razer Tartarus V2 Pro is priced at RM929, and is already available for purchase from the Razer Malaysia website, as well as select retailers nationwide.
