BLOOMBERRY Resorts Corp. announced late Monday the launch by its online gaming platform megaFUNalo! of Gioco Arcade, a new lineup of Pinoy-themed digital arcade games aimed at strengthening its position in the Philippine iGaming market through locally inspired content.

The Enrique Razon Jr.-led Bloomberry Resorts said initial titles under Gioco Arcade include "Jeepney Go,” inspired by the iconic Filipino jeepney, and "Cash Cash Fiesta," which features festive visuals drawn from local street fairs and celebrations.

Two more games, "Tuktuk Gold" and "Slice n Go," are set to be released soon to expand the collection.

The partnership between megaFUNalo! and the Filipino game studio behind Gioco Arcade was formally sealed Monday night through a ceremonial handshake and toast.

Cyrus Sherafat, executive vice president and head of gaming at megaFUNalo!, said the company deliberately chose to spotlight Filipino-themed content to better serve the local market and differentiate itself from competitors that rely heavily on foreign-made games.

“Our entertainment on the app is meant for local customers, for the local market,” Sherafat said.

“By working with Filipino developers and offering culturally familiar content, we’re creating a unique positioning for megaFUNalo! in the iGaming space,” he said.

The initiative, he continued, supports the platform’s broader growth strategy as it continues to expand its user base while remaining compliant with government regulations and responsible gaming standards.

On the development side, Maricar Nepomuceno, CEO of Gioco, said the games were built by an all-Filipino development team and designed to showcase everyday Filipino life.

“We’re also showcasing Filipino-type games, not just themed, but the developers are all Filipino-based,” Nepomuceno said. “That’s why you see games inspired by the jeepney and different fiesta traditions across the country.”

She added that future releases such as "Slice n Go" aim to continue the same Filipino-inspired approach.

Beyond the domestic market, Nepomuceno said the long-term goal is to position Filipino-made games for a wider audience, emphasizing the company’s view that Filipino-themed games can stand out internationally because of their uniqueness.

“What we’re trying to promote here is Filipino development — not just in the Philippines, but eventually we’re going to go global as well,” Nepomuceno said.

MegaFUNalo! said Gioco Arcade is available under its Pagcor-licensed operations, ensuring a secure and regulated environment for players.

It added that the launch reflects a growing appetite for interactive gaming experiences that feel authentic, familiar, and culturally resonant while meeting international quality and performance standards.

Bloomberry Resorts shares climbed P0.13, or 4.89 percent, to close at P2.79 each on Tuesday.
