RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager admits they were fortunate to grab a draw with Champions League opponents Manchester City.
The round of 16 first-leg finished 1-1 in Germany on Wednesday night.
Schlager said: "We had 26 per cent possession at half-time, that was bad. We were in good positions, but made bad decisions in the first half. We changed that after. When you make a couple of good decisions, you are able to hold onto the ball better, they have to chase it and then they make the mistakes.
"We could see they are vulnerable as well, they don't like to be challenged physically.
"The second half was the way we wanted to play. In the beginning we wanted to close the spaces down with midfield pressing but they kept the ball very well, overloaded spaces and we didn't get to challenge them."
