Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior insists he and Karim Benzema are close.
Benzema infamously was heard criticising the Brazilian two seasons ago during the 2020 Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.
"He does what he wants. Brother, don't play with him! My mother's life. He is playing against us," the Frenchman said at the time.
But Vini Jr says the incident never affected their relationship.
He said, "Nothing happened. Karim really appreciates me and he has always done his best to help me. He came to talk to me the next day. I have always seen the positive side. He always gives everything for me on the pitch."
