Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior changed his 'football name' on the urgings of image consultants.
Since 2020, Vinicius has been referred to as Vini Jr in football, with the shortened name appearing on the back of his Real Madrid shirt. The same appears on his social media accounts.
The decision was made after a brand analysis, with it claimed the new name would be more commercially appealing.
Vini Jr now counts on six major sponsors: Nike, Casas Bahía, Bet Nacional, Vivo, Dolce Gabana and Gagá Milano.
The Brazil international has also recently signed a new deal with Real to 2027.
