Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti insists "football needs Vinicius".
Ancelotti, ahead of their Copa del Rey tie with Atletico Madrid, rejected claims Vinicius Junior could become more hesitant given the tackling he has copped.
The Italian said, "No (he doesn't fear being injured). We think of the player and he has a spectacular physique.
"Mentality, for him, is key. We must protect him. I think football needs someone like Vinicius.
"I see him motivated, focused. He doesn't complain."
