Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has explained his booking during their 1-1 draw with Manchester City last night.
City drew 1-1 at Real for the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal.
Real's bench were angry with Kevin de Bruyne's equaliser. The hosts insist the ball had gone out of play in the build-up. But Ancelotti and Luka Modric's appeals were waved away by the fourth official. The coach was shown a yellow card.
I don't know why," Ancelotti told BT Sport. I told [the referee]: 'I was not on the pitch, why you give me [the card]?'
I think he could give the yellow card to the player, not to the manager."
