Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez says Real Mallorca deserved their win.
Nacho was captain for the day in the 1-0 defeat.
He later said: "We knew it was going to be a tough game, because of the kick-off time and because we didn't have much time to rest. Mallorca are having a great season and when they go ahead it's even more difficult.
They defended really well thought the game. It was a fortunate goal, but they worked hard and we weren't at our best in terms of creating chances. It's a shame because we've dropped three points.
These things happen in football. I went for the header and was unlucky that it went into the top corner. That's football. We also missed a penalty and we had some good chances but we couldn't take them."
Nacho also called for fans and opposition to ease the tension with Real teammate Vinicus Jr.
He added, I think there's a bit of an atmosphere that doesn't favour anybody. Not Vini, nor football or the fans who have a go at him. What we have to do is enjoy football. It's a great sport. We have to forget about controversies and nonsense."
