Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez was happy with victory over Athletic Bilbao.
Nacho has been impressing at right-back.
He said, "It was really important that we won here today. Each match is a must-win game. Barcelona had already won, so it was essential. We've got the cup game coming up, which is also crucial. We've got a brief but very positive rhythm going into Thursday's game, and we're full of confidence.
"We've been very good both defensively and going forward. It was a very complete performance, the team looked very compact and kept a clean sheet, which is also really important and fills us with confidence going into Thursday's derby."
Nacho added, "I'm happy to play and to keep adding to my total. I'm trying to make the most of what I've got. I demonstrate that I play well every time I play and that I'm always prepared for any situation. We won today, so I'm happy for the team."
