Atletico Madrid GM Miguel Angel Gil Marin has blasted Real Madrid over their pressuring of match officials.
Marca says Gil Marin made his comments to his "inner circle", with the quotes not denied by the Atletico chief.
"They are the adulterers of the competition and create an unbearable climate for fans," said Gil Marin.
"It is the last straw, the referee is right, as all the arbitration analysts have agreed, and even so the machinery takes everything ahead. The arguments they use to attack the referees would be to laugh if it were not something so serious and that directly affects the development of the competition."
In response, Real Madrid sources have declared Gil Marin as "too foolish for words" over the claims.
