Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says Manchester City deserved their Champions League semifinal win.
Courtois saw four goals get past him on the night.
He said: "I think it has been the expected beginning of them. They have exerted a lot of pressure, they did not let us leave because they put a lot of people to lock us in the area.
"At the beginning we held it well but we couldn't play our game or create chances. It was difficult for us to get into the game after the goal.
"This year those occasions do not fall on our side. After the break we had the courage to change the game but we couldn't and that took its toll.
"To analyze it in more depth I have to see images from the goal, it is not easy to see. We have made few fouls and we have missed passes, running after the ball is not easy. They are always with 6 or 8 up and today it has not worked out for us."
