Real Madrid great Zinedine Zidane says he never had major coaching ambitions.
Zidane was speaking on Tony Parker's podcast and was asked if he had initially wanted to be a coach.
"Never," he replied before explaining the differences between being a coach and a player.
"They are two completely different things," Zidane stressed.
"Because as a player, you look at yourself... As a coach, you have to take care of a group of 27 players."
He also said: "I started training with Castilla, with young players.
"And with young players, you are Zidane, they look at you like that... We didn't exchange points of view, and it was difficult for me because I need to exchange."
